TBD Youth
We work hard to engage our teens in temple life whether as part of our school community serving as both teachers and teacher’s aides (madrachim), working directly with our Social Action committee on community wide projects, or getting to know each other through fun, social activities and projects designed solely for teen participation.
Temple Beth David is associated with the Reform Jewish Youth Movement NFTY which offers opportunities for teens to develop leadership, personal growth, and deep connections with Jewish youth from all over North America. Many of our teens attend Jewish camps through the Reform Movement or the Jewish Federation Camp in Madison CT, Camp Laurelwood. Contact youth@tbdcheshire.org for more information.
Youth Engagement Fund
The Youth Engagement Fund is available to assist Temple Beth David Youth in pursuing opportunities that are consistent with TBD's Mission Statement and values. Examples include (but are not limited to) camperships for Jewish camping, fees for NFTY activities, and fees for URJ sponsored youth events. If you would like to make a request please contact the Board of Directors through the office. All requests are confidential, but the activity for which the request is made will be presented for discussion.
